Greeting from President
(January 4, 2012)

I would like to respectfully offer my New Year’s greetings.
The world population became over 7 Billion and there are tremendously difficult problems in front of us. Those include elevation of sea-water temperature and ice-melting that might trigger huge disasters and famine. In Japan, we have met the East Japan Great Earthquake and Tsunami that hit the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. Also, we have to consider unreasonable rising Yen, TPP, industry-evacuation, high percentage of advanced ages, self-sustenance of food, pension/insurance, and so on.
What is our solution? The answer might be come back to the starting point of our stance as university people; education, research, and contribution. We have to do our best to generate new values of matter and concept for presenting a solution beyond "2011" that was really one of the hardest years in our history.
