Kenichi Iga, President
July 22, 2011
It has been less than a month since the Goya was planted on June 26, but it has been growing very well and the leaves are starting to create shade on the windows that are facing west. Now it seems to be helping to keep out nearly 70% of the late afternoon sun. Bees are buzzing around the yellow flowers and some of the fruits are becoming large. The picture below is a stereogram.

Now that the Visualization of electricity usage has progressed, we are able to recognize the efficacy of our daily power saving. The rainy season has ended and the temperature is rising day by day. I hope you all make sure to be aware of potential heat stroke. The president's room receives the late afternoon sun and is also getting hot. However, the Goya planted outside the window in June 26 which is growing well already seems to be helping to keep out nearly 20% of the late afternoon sun.
