Uppsala University - Tokyo Tech Joint Symposium
in cooperation with JSPS-Stockholm
‘Breakthroughs in Science & Technology for the 21st century’

Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) and Uppsala University intends to strengthen their academic ties by launching collaborations in frontline research areas of common interest. This symposium will identify such areas and lay the ground for collaborations through a Letter of Intention to be signed by the Vice-Chancellor of Uppsala University and the President of Tokyo Tech, as well as Memoranda of Understanding to be signed by leading representatives of research groups at the two universities.

In sessions on different research frontiers presentations on research projects at both universities will be given and followed-up by group discussions on areas offering opportunities for collaborations. In addition, time is allocated for lab visits and informal discussions between researchers.
