Special symposium "SIP Disaster prevention: Project 4, Information sharing & utilization" - Constructing a novel assistance system based on information sharing for healthcare services during a disaster -

In preparation for a disaster, Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP) was launched in 2014, and a novel information network has been developed by integrating governmental and private information to prevent creating further medical needs. This system realizes rapid transfer of patients in a critical condition, optimized hospital admissions of patients, and effective assessment of medical needs in shelters. In this symposium, Dr. Daniel J Barnett is invited from USA to present on "Recent countermeasure and training for health risk" and Dr. Ryoma Kayano from the Kobe WHO Center on "Actions to disaster risk management for health and implementation of the Sendai framework for DRR". After these keynote lectures, the overall findings of the SIP Project 4 will be shown.
