The 2nd Uppsala University-Tokyo Tech Joint Symposium "Emerging technologies and systems for sustainable society"

Tokyo Tech will co-host the 2nd joint symposium with Uppsala University (UU), the oldest university in Scandinavia and one of the most prominent universities in Europe.

The 1st joint symposium was held in Uppsala, Sweden, last September, and since then many academic collaborative activities in various fields have been held. The 2nd symposium will be held at Tokyo Tech, having more than 30 researchers from UU.

This year's main theme of the symposium is "Emerging technologies and systems for sustainable society."

At the plenary session on the 1st day, cutting-edge research activities on environment and energy will be presented. In the morning of the 2nd day, five breakout sessions will be held to discuss various topics from environment to innovation. At the plenary session on the 2nd day, both universities will report on industrial collaboration and innovation.
