    STEP3

    • Connection charges from a landline telephone is approximately 12 yen per three minutes from anywhere in Japan.
    • When registering your address and name, speak slowly and clearly. If it is not clear, your request may not be processed properly.
    • If you have used the Telemail service before and your address has not changed since, you do not have to re-register your delivery address.
    • Delivery time is usually within two to three days of your request. However, delivery may take longer depending on the time of request and other circumstances. If the requested materials do not arrive after five days, please contact the Telemail Customer Center. If materials are requested before they are available, they will be mailed once they become available.
    • To pay the fees, follow the payment instructions enclosed in the mail. Note that a separate handling charge applies to each payment option as follows:
      Mobile phone service up tp 50 yen
      Convenience store up tp 84 yen
      Japan Post Bank up tp 80 yen (ATM) or 120 yen (teller)
      Note: Multiple requests can be combined into a single payment.

  • Make a request to the Institute

    If you want to make a request directly to the Institute, send the following two items to the address below. Indicate the type(s) of application guide you would like to request (and "Reference" if you are requesting past application guides) on the front of the envelope in red and your name and address on the back.

    • Self-addressed return envelope with postage
      On a 'Square No. 2' size envelope (24 cm x 33 cm, A4 size), write your name, address, and postal code, and affix sufficient postage for the Postal Yu-Mail service according to the total weight of the application guides and the return envelope (approx. 20 g). See the table below for reference.

      Write "Yu-Mail" visibly on the envelope in red.
