  • The status of the student at Tokyo Tech will be International Exchange Student. (TAIST students will have no status.)
  • Enrollment in classes is optional. No Tokyo Tech credits are given for courses taken, but students' academic records will be issued and credits can be recognized at their home institutions.
    • Note:
    • - Compulsory subjects for YSEP students are Sotsuron/Research Project, Topics on Japan, Fieldwork Skills, and Study on Japanese Companies and Industries.
    • - Credits earned by TAIST students at Tokyo Tech will be transferred to their home university. The master's degree will be conferred by the home university.
    • - Enrollment in classes is a requirement in the TKT CAMPUS Asia Consortium Summer Program.
  • Laboratory affiliation is a requirement. (TAIST students are an exception.)
  • Classes are conducted in English (those who wish may take Japanese classes). (TAIST students may take only English classes).
