Prospective Students
Tokyo Tech’s academic departments offer a variety of inbound and outbound exchange programs. Eligibility and length of study vary by program. Students enrolled at universities outside of Japan who are interested in participating in these programs are encouraged to contact the student exchange office at their home university.
SERP is a summer research program conducted by Tokyo Tech’s Engineering Schools (the School of Engineering, the School of Materials and Chemical Technology, and the School of Environment and Society). It is open to students enrolled at the 12 institutions in the European Union and the United States with which the Engineering Schools have bilateral SERP agreements.
Tokyo Tech’s Engineering Schools (the School of Engineering, the School of Materials and Chemical Technology, and the School of Environment and Society) offer a three-month research program for the students enrolled at the 12 universities in the AOTULE consortium.
Offered by Tokyo Tech’s Engineering Schools (the School of Engineering, the School of Materials and Chemical Technology, and the School of Environment and Society), the AOSU program is a short-term research program conducted on a reciprocal basis with partner institutions in Asia and Oceania. It is aimed to enhance student mobility in engineering fields.

Health Certificate for Infectious Diseases (other than COVID-19)
International students who have passed the entrance exam and whose registered enrollment period will be three months or longer are required to have the health certificate completed and signed by a physician within the three-month period before the designated date of enrollment at Tokyo Tech (or within the three-month period before their planned date of arrival in Japan if their arrival will be later than the date of entrance). In addition, we request that it be submitted prior to the designated date of entrance (or prior to arriving in Japan if the arrival will be later than the date of entrance).
Note that all expenses for this shall be borne by students.
Please cooperate with our preventive measures against various infectious diseases that could cross international borders in order to protect the health and wellbeing of you and your colleagues.
