The Tokyo Tech Rowing Club won both the men's single scull and men's coxed four competitions at the Kanto Regatta for science and engineering students, held at the Toda Boat Course in Toda City, Saitama Prefecture on May 20.

This was the 51st time for rowers from mainly science and technology universities in the Kanto region to compete on the 1,000-meter course. The Institute's men also won the single scull and coxed four categories last year, and look to make it three in a row at the next meet.

I only had two weeks to practice for the single scull competition, but the tough practice sessions paid off. Next, I want to focus on producing a good result at the All Japan University Rowing Championships.

  • Haruya Inago, 4th year, Bioscience

This time we were able to put together a very good crew, and the result was a joint display of power. In terms of rowing technique, there are still many aspects that we are not satisfied with, but we will focus on improving those day by day. I would like to thank everyone for their continued support.
