The Robotics Endoscope Holder will be exhibited at Pittcon 2013

The Robotics Endoscope Holder will be exhibited at Pittcon 2013 in Philadelphia in the U.S., from March 18 to March 21.

During operations, the robot will help perform smooth surgery via surgeon's body gestures. In addition, a special physician is not required to hold the endoscope.

This robot was invented by the Kawashima Lab of Tokyo Institute of Technology, whose project of developing surgical assisting Robots has been selected as one of the Projects for Creating Start-ups from Advanced Research and Technology (Abbreviation: START) by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (known as MEXT) since last year.
