UC and Tokyo Tech students engage in discussion

The purpose of their visit to Tokyo Tech was to attend “Think Aloud!,” a weekly event held at the HUB-International Communications Space (HUB-ICS) hosted by Associate Professor Tom Hope, in order to engage in discussions with the students of Tokyo Tech. The topic of the day was “Robots & Intelligence.”

Participants' Comments (Based on Interview Notes)

Jack W. (Fourth Year Student):

“I thought it was pretty cool how the students get the chance to practice their English, and especially on topics related to their majors.”

William K. (Fourth Year Student):

“I really enjoyed it. I got to see people from different backgrounds and different perspectives. It was thought-provoking, and was very interesting to see both sides of arguments.”

Cameron G. (Third Year Student):

“It was great being able to say what you think at an intellectual level and have a rational conversation.”

After the event, the group went on a campus tour guided by Tokyo Tech students.

Tokyo Tech aims to continue promoting cross-cultural dialogue through events such as Think Aloud! Thank you University of Cincinnati students and faculty for coming to Tokyo Tech!
