The Tokyo Tech project, Enhancing Tokyo Tech Education and Research Quality through Administrative Reforms for Internationalization, was selected as a Top Global University Project (Type A) by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). The Top Global University Project aims to enhance Japan's research and educational competitiveness in higher education by supporting university reforms which promote internationalization and cooperation with top overseas universities.

In line with our long-term goal of becoming a world-class research university, Tokyo Tech will revitalize its educational system to further promote internationalization. Faculty and staff will work swiftly and in solidarity to implement administrative reforms toward achieving this goal.
Tokyo Tech will create world-class education and research systems and strengthen its network with overseas institutes to promote greater student, faculty and staff exchange. Through these efforts, Tokyo Tech will become an intellectual hub for talented individuals from around the world, enhancing Tokyo Tech education and research quality.
