Great Victory in 16 years - Track and Field Club, win championship at 46th T&F Competition for Science and Engineering Students in Kanto region -

The Track and Field (T&F) Club, Tokyo Tech, won the overall championship at the 46th T&F competition for Science and Technology Students in Kanto region ("Kanto Rikoukei") on 14-15 September 2014.

The members showed outstanding performance in both track and field events.
Many of them broke their personal records or season records. In the Mens 100m, Haruyoshi Yonekawa (3rd Year, Computer Science Dept.) managed 10''88 (a Tokyo Tech record), in the Mens 1500m and 5000m, Masaki Matsui (3rd year, Mechano Aerospace Engineering Dept.) and Kouki Shibata (1st year in Master Program; Polymer Chemistry Dept.) won 1st and 2nd places.
After severe competition with the T&F group of Waseda University and the Science University of Tokyo T&F club, Tokyo Tech won the overall first prize.
