Super Typhoon 19 (Vongfong) is heading northward on course to hit Japan. The Japan Meteorological Agency has announced that it is expected to approach Okinawa as early as October 11 and is likely to hit Kyushu and Honshu between October 13 and 14.
The entire festival or some of the scheduled events may be canceled depending on the severity of the weather conditions.
Up-to-date information about the festival will be posted on the Tokyo Tech Festival 2014 site (Japanese)
as it becomes available.
