Notification Regarding Overseas Travel

In light of the current threat to international peace and security (hostage incident of Japanese nationals in Syria, two hostage crises in Paris, etc.), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA) has been issuing warnings regarding overseas travel. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT) has also issued a warning that extra precautions must be taken to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff members during overseas travel.

In order to ensure your own safety while traveling and/or residing overseas, make sure to gather information on the safety situation of the country you are visiting.
