President Bandhit Rojarayanont of the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI) paid a courtesy call to President Yoshinao Mishima, Executive Vice President for Research Makoto Ando, and Professor Kikuo Kishimoto, Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering on April 14. A graduate of Tokyo Tech, Bandhit had previously met Mishima at alumni gatherings, and he and Ando were members of the same research laboratory during their student days.

President Mishima welcomed the TNI President back to Tokyo Tech and updated him on the education reform and other recent activities at the Institute. Later, President Bandhit shared a presentation on the history and background of TNI, including the university's goal of developing a future generation of managers to run Japanese industries' local operations in Thailand. He explained that while his university has established numerous student exchange activities with Japanese universities, TNI is aiming to develop research collaborations as well.
