The 2015 Tokyo Tech High School of Science and Technology graduation ceremony was held on March 10 at the Ookayama Campus. This year, 185 students received their diplomas.
Principal Fumihito Miyamoto provided the graduates with words of encouragement. "Carve out your own future and contribute to the development of Japan and other nations by taking advantage of your communication skills and problem-solving capabilities in science and technology."
The Tokyo Tech community extends its congratulations and best wishes to all the graduates.
Tokyo Tech High School of Science and Technology, located on the Tamachi Campus, is Japan's only national high school specializing in science and technology. Its close cooperative ties in education with Tokyo Tech ensure that students have opportunities to visit and learn from the Institute's professors.
Academic year 2015 was another active year for the school's students, both in academics and extracurricular activities in Japan and abroad. In August, two students participated in the 2015 KSA Science Fair held at Korea Advanced Institute of Technology. This year's theme was environment and energy. A research project presentation by one of the students was awarded the gold prize in the field of chemistry.
In December, two students from the field of applied chemistry took part in the Thailand-Japan Student Science Fair 2015 held at Princess Chulabhorn Science High School Phetchaburi. One student had the honor of making a presentation in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
