The day-to-day efforts of the four rowers got us third place in this tournament. We will continue to aim for better results in the future.

I am glad that we won a medal. I will push myself even further so that we can win another one at the All Japan University Championship in August.

Rowing is a pretty tough sport — we practice 25 hours per a week for seven-minute race that is held every two months. For that reason, I feel a sense of achievement as we brought home a medal.

There was a mentally draining period a while back as we couldn't shave any more time off our record, but we all continued towards the same goal. I am happy we achieved a good result.
