Most of the graduates were able to participate in their respective ceremonies at the Sports Arena in person. Joining them at the venue were President Kazuya Masu, members of the board, deans and directors, and Tokyo Tech Alumni Association President Kiyoto Ido (Class of 1972, Department of Mathematics). Family members and friends were invited to watch the festivities from the 70th Anniversary Auditorium, while those who could not be present were able to experience the celebrations virtually via a livestream.

During his speeches, Masu congratulated the newest Tokyo Tech graduates for their tenacity and achievements, and invited them to share their knowledge and creativity with the people they encounter in the future. "Regardless of our evolution, we will always cherish our traditions and welcome you here with open arms," Masu stated in reference to the Institute's planned merger with Tokyo Medical and Dental University.

In his brief addresses, alumnus Ido also offered his congratulations and shared with the graduates his motivating message regarding the future.

All attending doctoral degree students received their diplomas individually from Masu. At the ceremony for bachelor's degree recipients, students with outstanding academic achievements also received the 2022 Tokyo Institute of Technology Academic Excellence Award.

To conclude each ceremony, the valedictorians for each cohort offered their messages of gratitude and hope to the president, Tokyo Tech faculty members, fellow students, and the broader community.
