ŸCareer Development Program for Foreign Students in Japan 

 

1. Program Overview

The gCareer Development Program for Foreign Students in Japanh project has been implemented jointly by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry since 2007. The project aims to develop highly talented foreign human resources who play an active role in the industrial sector in a globalizing economy.

 

Participating in the project in 2007, Tokyo Institute of Technology has provided education program for foreign graduate students who will seek employment in Japanese companies after graduation. The program, which has been developed in the collaboration with industries and academia, allows foreign students to gain an understanding of Japanese business environment and obtain a wide range of technical knowledge.

 

 

2. Courses

The program offers graduate courses specially designed to foreign students at Tokyo Institute of Technology. The students can take electives from the courses listed below, while taking classes and conducting research in their major fields of study.

w   All courses are conducted in Japanese except Factory Study Tours of CDSA.

w   For credits needed for graduation, please follow rules and regulations of your department.

w   Also, please consult your academic advisor or department director about registration of the courses listed above.

w   The scholarship recipients of the Career Development Program are required to take more than 8 credits (compulsory subjects) from the courses within two years, as well as the required credits by your departments.
