d. school comes to Tokyo Tech again this year!
Tokyo Tech's Cross Border Entrepreneur Cultivating Program (CBEC) and Academy for Global Leadership(AGL) are pleased to announce that leading tutors from Stanford University's d. school are coming to Tokyo Tech to give a special lecture "Deepening the Practice of Design".
Many people may consider design thinking as a "process" -- steps and procedures designed to solve problems. While this is true in many ways, we believe a deeper understanding will not only benefits a practitioner of design thinking but also leads to successful outcomes. In other words, to attain more innovations or to be more innovative, "designerly ways of being" is necessary whether it is an individual, a team, or a company/organization. This special lecture will discuss significance of "designerly ways" and various aspects of design thinking that go beyond a problem-solving process.
Please note that all participants to the "Design Challenge" workshop on the following day are required to attend this special lecture.
