This is an announcement of the subject ToTAL/OPEN program* "Expansion of AI applications by using platform of GPU parallel processing developed by NVIDIA" that is a part of "Professionals and Value creation B/D" of ToTAL course.

Professionals who are creating leading edge of values (innovations) in various fields including enterprises, start-ups, NPO/NGO, journalism, government and academic present the leading edge of information about their business, development, vision of their activities, and problems to be overcome to the students. Then, try to have in-depth discussions among participants.

Students are being requested to engage in preparation work; to research outline of the organization the professionals are belonging and to clarify aims for having communication with them, in advance.

ToTAL/OPEN Program

Following ToTAL courses, originally designed for ToTAL students, are offered to non-ToTAL students as "ToTAL/OPEN Programs". Graduate "non-ToTAL" students can apply to these courses (credits and GA will be granted), and both of graduate or undergraduate "non-ToTAL" students can join contents (workshops) on ad-hoc basis (credits will not be granted) as well.

C. Yato / Jetson Product Marketing Manager, NVIDIA Corporation

NVIDIA Corporation was a world leading high performance graphic processing unit (GPU) manufacturer, located in Santa Clara, California, US and nowadays, is acting as a leader in the field of GPU deep learning as a AI Computing Company. TSUBAME, a super computer in Tokyo Tech, is also using NVIDIA's GPUs. Mr. Yato is responsible for product marketing of their Jetson, an accelerating parallel processing by GPU. During this class, he will talk about real situation of Deep Learning technology development and how NVIDIA solve the practical issues.
