2017 AEARU International Summer Institute Call for Participants <Deadline:2017/02/20>

The AEARU International Summer Institute will be hosted in June and July 2017 by Seoul National University (SNU) based on SNU’s International Summer Institute (ISI). SNU ISI presents a unique opportunity for students to experience academic life at Seoul National University, Korea's most prestigious university and one of the leading universities in the world. ISI offers courses in Korean Studies, International and East Asian Studies, Economics and Business, Engineering and Life Sciences, Music and Fine Arts, and Korean language and traditional arts.

Tuition is waived by SNU for the 2 nominees. Participants are responsible for the accommodation fee of US$ 800, fieldtrip fees of US$ 260, and other expenditures (i.e international and local transportation, insurance, meals, academic materials). A stipend to cover some expenses shall be provided by Tokyo Tech. In the case of international students, only privately-funded students shall be provided with the stipend.


Established in 1996, the Association of East Asian Research Universities (AEARU) is a consortium that promotes exchange and cooperation activities between member universities. A total of 18 leading universities in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan comprise AEARU.
