IDEA League Doctoral School on Transiently Powered Computing <Deadline:2017/7/6>

The IDEA League*1 invites applications for the Doctoral School on Transiently Powered Computing organized by Delft University of Technology. Bringing together students from IDEA League and ASPIRE League*2 member universities, the aim of this 3-day conference is to survey fundamental and applied aspects of systems operating over time-varying and unpredictable energy sources, as well as to identify novel opportunities and research directions in this area through lectures by international experts. Participants will experience relevant technologies during hands-on hackathons and present their own work during a poster session. The school will provide participants with a great opportunity to meet distinguished scholars from around the world and to establish contacts that may lead to research collaborations in the future.

*1 IDEA League: A consortium of leading European universities of science and technology and is comprised of RWTH Aachen University in Germany, Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands, ETH Zurich in Switzerland, Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden, University Politecnico di Milano in Italy.

*2 ASPIRE League: A consortium established in 2009, consisting of 5 World-Leading Technical Universities in Asia, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Nanyang Technological University, Tsinghua University, and Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Interview will be held on Monday, July 10. Please keep your schedule open.


TU Delft will cover the participation fee and provide accommodations, meals (excluding breakfast) and social activities during the program. Participants are responsible for their own travel insurance, airfare, local transportation, and personal expenses. (A stipend to cover some expenses shall be provided by Tokyo Tech. In the case of international students, only those who are privately-funded and enrolled in degree programs are eligible for the stipend.)
