Earthquake Safety Seminar (September 21, 2017)

In support of Tokyo Tech's international researcher community, the Office of Research and Innovation will hold a seminar on earthquake safety.
Disaster Preparedness Consultant Takayuki Masuda will speak on best practices regarding readiness and safety in case of an earthquake. He will also show simple items that everyone should have as part of their earthquake emergency kits.
Profile of Takayuki Masuda:
Master of Arts in International Relations from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies; assistant at United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Representation in Japan; deputy director of Japan Red Cross Society delegation to Sumatra, Indonesia from 2006 to 2009; lecturer on general risk management at Jissen Women's Educational Institute; licensed consultant on disaster preparedness, giving lectures on practical disaster prevention in English.
