2019 Spring Semester Special Medical Screening for Students

 The special medical screening for ionizing radiation exposure is mandated by the Law concerning Prevention from Radiation Hazards Due to Radio-Isotopes, Etc. Students engaged in handling ionizing radiation must take the Special Medical Screening, which will be conducted as follows. Detailed information will be sent separately to the academic supervisors who submitted a list of examinees in March.


1. Students required to take the screening:

  Bachelor’s degree students who belong to a laboratory, master’s and doctoral degree students including RAs and TAs, and research students who are/will be engaged in handling ionizing radiation (categorized under A or B of the initial education and training).

Be sure to check with your academic supervisor to determine whether or not you must take the screening.


2. Dates and times:

  Ookayama Campus:

       Thursday, April 25 and Friday, April 26, 2019

       9:30–11:30 and 13:00–16:00 (Reception Times)

  Suzukakedai Campus:

       Thursday, April 18 and Friday, April 19, 2019

       9:30–11:30 and 13:00–15:30 (Reception Times)


3. Locations

  Ookayama Campus: Media Hall and Collaboration Room, West Building 9, Floor 2

  Suzukakedai Campus: G4 Building, Floor 1


4. The Special Medical Screening Items

  Blood test and Doctor’s health interview.
