ETH Big Band Zurich Jazz Concert

"Musical Ambassador" of our partner university, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) performs at Tokyo Tech's Ookayama Campus!

Tokyo Institute of Technology and ETH Zurich have been fostering the mutual exchange of students ever since Tokyo Tech concluded a university-wide academic cooperation agreement with ETH Zurich in 1978.
We are happy to announce the joint concert by Los Guaracheros, one of Tokyo Tech's officially recognized music clubs, and the ETH Big Band Zurich on February 18, 2014, for the purpose of promoting international exchange and friendship.

The ETH Big Band Zurich consists of 20 musicians - an assembly of bachelor's, master's, doctoral and post-doctoral students from ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich, as well as musicians from the Jazz Schools Zurich and Lucerne. The band frequently performs at many festivities and has performed on the occasion of the renowned Nobel Prize Ceremony.

To assist the organizers with planning this event, we ask that you register by Feb.13th if you would like to attend this joint concert.

The ETH Big Band Zurich is coming to Japan to take part in an event celebrating the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Japan. They will visit eleven places throughout Japan between February 8th and 18th.
