The Tokyo Institute of Technology and the RWTH Aachen University, leading universities in the field of science and technology in Japan and Germany respectively, have entered into International cooperation agreement to interact actively in both research and education. On the occasion of the visit by the rector of the RWTH Aachen University to Japan, both universities invite you to a joint symposium for international industry-academia collaboration.

Tokyo Institute of Technology - RWTH Aachen University Joint Symposium for International Industry-Academia Collaboration:
“Industrie 4.0 and the Challenges and Opportunities for Business, Science and Society in Germany and Japan”

The symposium will be held on the topics of “Industrie 4.0”, a project jointly initiated by the German Government, industry and academia, which aims to promote the so-called 4th Industrial Revolution by improving speed, functionality and cost performance in industry and related sectors, and relevant research topics in manufacturing and machine tool engineering. The symposium will focus on the possibility of future joint research between the two universities and Japanese and German companies.
