This symposium on the experiment is organised jointly by Tokyo Institute of Technology and Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, bringing together two world leading institutions in their fields of science and the creative arts. The symposium discusses the way that the experiment has been used in different disciplines and across cultures, in order to see what art might learn from science and vice versa. Distinguished academics and practitioners from the UK and Japan, and across a range of disciplines, have been invited to offer their perspective on this fascinating and universal topic.
