d.school comes to Tokyo Tech 2018 - 2-days BOOTCAMP "Design Challenge"

3 tutors from Stanford University/d.school, a headquarter of design thinking, will facilitate full 2-day workshop in Tokyo Tech in October. This workshop will be the only workshop in Japanese university.

Design Thinking should be the fundamental methodology of thinking for the people who are being expected to generate new value and/or create innovations, like you. During this 2-day workshop, I want all of you to understand and experience the mind-set of Creative Confidence and the skill set of User Centric; exploring mechanism of needs and jump belong logic, through d.school way of speedy, friendly and diversified environment.

Further to the last year, this 2-days workshop will be held as a part of menu in AGL Yamada Dojo. Any of Tokyo Tech students and the students from other universities can apply to the workshop. If you are interested in applying to this workshop, please send an application form attached to Prof. Yamada/AGL as soon as possible.

Conditions for Attendances
Any students of Tokyo Tech and other university can apply to the workshop. In case of over subscription, AGL students and ToTAL students may be selected prior to other students. In case of selection, your answers to "Level of your English capability" and "Please advise why we have to choose you as attendants for the workshop" may be considered.
Attendants to this workshop will make commitments on (1) attending both 2 days, and (2) no delay and no early retirement.

Free. But, 3,000 yen, as fee for lunch, beverage and snacks, should be paid.

Thomas Both: d.school

Curriculum and Experience Lead. Thomas is a graduate of the Stanford Design Master's Program and brings with him on human-centered design.

Scott Witthoft: d.school

d.school D'arbeloff fellow 2008-2009 & lecturer. Scott is a co-author of "Make Space", a book of how to set the stage for creative collaboration. He studied civil engineering at Washington Univ.

David Janka: d.school

Lecturer. d.school Levinthal fellow 2011-2012. After graduating medical school, he joined d.school full-time as a fellow, working to integrate design thinking principles into medical education, healthcare delivery, medical device design and global health practice.
