Spring Graduation Ceremony academic year 2019

Tokyo Tech has decided to hold the graduation ceremony on a much smaller scale to prevent infection from the novel coronavirus. The ceremony will be streamed on YouTube Live on the Tokyo Tech’s official channel. However, we will not post the video of the ceremony on YouTube or Tokyo Tech website after the ceremony.

We ask families of the graduating students to refrain from coming to Tokyo Tech on the day of the ceremony (there will be no common room or place for those visitors.)

The ceremony will be attended only by students representing each department, etc. in bachelor’s degree programs and graduate programs as well as the President and Executive Vice Presidents, etc. As for other graduating students and students who have completed programs, we plan to hand over diplomas and certificates in each department, etc. We will notify those students of the details by email as soon as possible.

The ceremony may be cancelled on very short notice in response to the changing circumstances. If that is the case, we will notify you on this page.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your understanding regarding this matter.

Graduation Ceremonies to be held on Thursday, March 26, 2020

Date	Thursday, March 26, 2020 11:00 a.m.Graduate ceremony for bachelor's degree students 2:00 p.m.Graduate ceremony for master's, professional master's and doctoral degree students
Venue	Sports Center, Ookayama Campus

NB:

1.: Separate ceremonies will be held for undergraduates and graduates.
2.: Doors will open 1 hour before the start of the ceremonies.
3.: Be sure to arrive at the Sports Center with plenty of time. Doors will close 5 minutes before the start of the ceremonies, after which entry will be restricted.
4.: Due to space limitations, some family members might be asked to watch the ceremonies on a screen in the Auditorium or the Multi-Purpose Digital Hall, Ookayama West Bldg. 9.
5.: Cars are not permitted on Campus.

It is recommended that participants wear traditional caps and gowns for the ceremony. Traditional caps and gowns are available for rent.
