Tokyo Tech's Track and Field Club again won the men's category in the 12th 13-University Track Meet held on July 5, attaining their third successive victory since 2013. Under favorable conditions on a calm cool day with gentle rain, many of the Tokyo Tech athletes set new personal bests.

In the high jump, Tokyo Tech monopolized the podium. Club captain Takumi Kobayashi, 3rd-year undergraduate student from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, won both the triple jump and high jump.

Two Tokyo Tech athletes also set meet records. Yuya Nagashima, a 2nd-year student from the Department of Mechanical and Intelligent Systems Engineering, recorded a new fastest time in the 110-meter hurdles. Masaki Matsui, a 4th-year student from the Department of Mechano-Aerospace Engineering, is now the man to beat in the 1,500 meters.

It was another great day for Tokyo Tech athletics.
