As a result of this procedure, the decision was made to authorize the reappointment of the current president.
The current president (candidate) possesses sufficiently the six qualities and abilities required by the Tokyo Institute of Technology President Nomination Committee to realize the basic principles of the Institute. Under the strong leadership of Kazuya Masu, Tokyo Tech has implemented steadily education, research, and governance-related reforms, and has executed management reforms that strengthen the Institute's virtuous cycle of university management and the Tokyo Tech brand. In the future, the current president is expected to lead "Team Tokyo Tech" in the development of trustworthy relationships between students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders, and in laying the foundations for further progress as the Institute approaches its 150th anniversary in 2031. Therefore, the Tokyo Institute of Technology President Nomination Committee approves Kazuya Masu as a suitable candidate for the position of president of Tokyo Institute of Technology.
