As COVID-19 concerns have become alleviated in the Philippines and elsewhere, DLSU has chosen Tokyo Tech for their first visit to reopen international exchange.

In his welcome speech, President Masu expressed his gratitude of being chosen for DLSU's first courtesy visit abroad. President Masu also mentioned the graduation and entrance ceremonies recently held on campus, and outlined the planned integration with Tokyo Medical and Dental University. Topics also included exchange that have been developed over the years between affiliated high schools of Tokyo Tech and DLSU. President Oca, meanwhile, updated everyone on recent developments at his university, such as student life and research activities. In addition, President Oca talked about study-abroad programs that are slated to start as early as this summer with Tokyo Tech and other universities as part of jumpstarting international exchange. Participants then discussed expectations regarding exchange among the younger researchers of the two universities.

The tour went on in a friendly manner, also accompanied by Shin-ya Nishizaki, Professor and Director of the Tokyo Tech Philippines Office, Eri Ota, Specially Appointed Professor at the Center for International Education, and Valquez Alvin Christopher Galang, Associated Professor at the School of Environment and Society who is also a DLSU alumnus.

The group also toured Taki Plaza, and received a briefing of the building and the facilities by Professor Nishizaki and Professor Ota.
