Museum and Archives

Tokyo Tech Museum was established in April 2011 to communicate to the campus and the world the scientific and engineering achievements of the Institute. The Museum houses (1) historical artifacts related to Tokyo Techʼs education and research activities, (2) examples of the wide-spread applications of Tokyo Tech research in both industry and society, and (3) objects highlighting the significant contributions to society made by alumni.

The Museum comprises three exhibition halls in Centennial Hall, constructed at the main gate of the Ookayama Campus in 1987, and an exhibition space on the 1st floor of the Frontier Research Center on the Suzukakedai Campus. The Ookayama branch also houses a Science Cafe where visitors can enjoy informal discussions with researchers and students. The Museum's digital collection offers an alternative way of viewing some of Tokyo Tech's history.

Learning & Information Commons

To open up more versatile space for students, faculty, and the general public, the 1st floor of the Tokyo Tech Museum and Centennial Hall was renewed and transformed into the Learning & Information Commons in the fall of 2015.
