In the Graduate Major in Life Science and Technology, in order to learn specialized knowledge and skills, related subjects are grouped so that students learn systematically according to their level of learning and attainment.

    Applicants must pass an entrance examination to advance from an undergraduate major to a master's program.

    400-Level and 500-Level Courses

    In research seminars and research-related courses, students acquire the latest knowledge in their specialized research areas in each laboratory, and cultivate high ethical values. In Master's Thesis Research Planning Theory, each student develops the skills to clarify their research goals and techniques, as well as organize and report findings. In the Master's Specialized Course Group, comprised of 400-level courses and 500-level courses, students acquire advanced expertise in the field of life science and technology. In the Global Career Course Group, students learn how to write papers in Japanese and English and cultivate the advanced cultural and communication skills to succeed globally through internships at overseas and domestic companies. In the Advanced Seminar Course Group, students acquire cutting-edge research and technology knowledge in a wider range of fields through lectures by visiting academics, etc. In Master's Thesis Research, students develop advanced problem-defining and problem-solving skills by defining their own research problem together with an academic supervisor, and engaging in cutting-edge research.

Through Master's Thesis Research Planning Theory, each student learns how to clarify their research goals and techniques, as well as organize and report findings.

      Students acquire advanced expertise in the life science and technology fields that are useful for the specialized research of each laboratory through the Master's Specialized Course Group (400-level courses and 500-level courses) comprised of electives.
    • Global Career
      Students learn how to write papers in Japanese and English and learn the advanced cultural and communication skills for global success through internships at overseas and domestic companies.
    • Advanced Seminar
      Students acquire cutting-edge technology and research knowledge in a wider range of fields through lectures by visiting academics, etc.

    600-Level Courses

    In Research Seminars and Research-Related Courses, students acquire the latest knowledge in their specialized research areas in each laboratory, and cultivate high ethical values. In Doctoral Dissertation Research Planning Theory, students report the progress of their doctoral thesis research in the first and second year and receive a review by several teaching staff. In this way, students acquire not only expertise related to their research, but also broad, outstanding expertise focused on life science and technology. In the specialized Bio-Leader Practical course, comprised of 600-level courses, Doctoral Program students acquire leadership skills by guiding the research projects of Undergraduate and Master's Program students. Furthermore, with Doctoral Internships, students cultivate outstanding cultural and communication skills for exhibiting leadership in international society and develop career skills through Company Training . In doctoral thesis research, students develop excellent problem-defining and problem-solving skills by performing world-class research, and cultivate creative skills to pioneer new paradigms for technology and knowledge.

      Students acquire the latest knowledge in their specialized research areas in each laboratory, and cultivate high ethical values. In Doctoral Dissertation Research Planning Theory, students report the progress of their doctoral dissertation research and receive an intermediate review by several teaching staff. In this way students acquire broad, outstanding expertise focused on life science and technology.

      Through Bio-Leader Practicals, Doctoral Program students acquire leadership skills by guiding the research projects of Undergraduate and Master's Program students.
    • Global Career
      With Doctoral Internships, students learn outstanding cultural and communication skills for exhibiting leadership in international society and learn career skills through Company Training.
