APRU-AEARU Multi-Hazards Summer School 2019

The 7th APRU Multi-Hazards Summer School will be held in Japan July 22 to 25 at Tohoku University in collaboration with academic consortium AEARU. Participants will understand the mechanism of international disaster risk reduction (DRR) strategy, learn from the experience and recovery process of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, learn from various DRR projects implemented in the Tohoku region and overseas, and discuss the roles of science, technology. A Sipened to cover some expenses may be provided by Tokyo Tech.

Fees
There is no participation fee, and accommodation in Sendai will be provided for Tokyo Tech’s nominees. However, participants will be responsible for their own transportation to/from Sendai and other personal expenses. A stipend to cover some expenses may be provided by Tokyo Tech.
