Application for Special Cash Payment

Foreign residents living in Japan and registered with the Basic Resident Registration System are eligible to apply for Special Cash Payment, financial aid established by the Japanese government at a value of JPY 100,000 per person . Japanese residents who had been living abroad, including students studying abroad, and returned to Japan before April 27, 2020 are also eligible once they have completed the procedure to reactivate their residence status . They are eligible even if they complete said procedure after April 27.
