Tuition waiver during extension of enrollment period (for graduate students completing master’s or doctoral programs in June or September 2020 and undergraduate students graduating in September 2020)

On May 8, 2020, Tokyo Tech has announced the economic support measures for COVID-19, “Urgent Financial Support for Tokyo Tech Students”.

Now we will announce the detail of “Tuition exemption during extension of enrollment period” which is listed in this economic support measures for COVID-19.

Tuition waiver for graduate school students scheduled to complete in June 2020

[Target] Those who meet all of the following three conditions.
・Graduate student who was scheduled to complete in June 2020.
(Students who applied for the Academic Degree to complete in June, 2020.)
・Students who have extended the enrollment period due to the delay of the research and the extension of the review period, which was caused by the COVID-19.
・Students who extend their enrollment period beyond the standard period.

Tuition fees for July, August, and September 2020.

[How to apply]
The Student Support Division has already sent an email to the target students and their academic advisors to confirm the reason of the extension. (Sent on July 13th)

Tuition waiver for graduate school students scheduled to complete in September 2020

[Target] Those who meet all of the following three conditions.
・Graduate student who is scheduled to complete September, 2020.
(Students who applied for the Academic Degree to complete in September, 2020.)
・Students who have extended the enrollment period due to the delay of the research and the extension of the review period, which was caused by the COVID-19.
・Students who extend their enrollment period beyond the standard period.

Tuition fees for October, November, and December 2020.

[How to apply]
During October, the Student Support Division will contact all target students and their academic advisors.

Tuition waiver for undergraduate students scheduled to graduate in September 2020

[Target] Those who meet all of the following three conditions.
・Undergraduate students who is scheduled to complete September, 2020.
・Students who have extended the enrollment period due to the delay of the Independent Research Project (Undergraduate thesis research for students enrolled in 2015 or before), which was caused by the COVID-19
(Not applicable if there is a shortage of credits other than the Independent Research Project.)
・Students who extend their enrollment period beyond the standard period.
(This does not apply if you originally planned to graduate in 3.5 years and change it to 4 years.)
