Workshop : Using corpus tools to promote writer autonomy

RSS

Published: October 13, 2020

To cultivate field-specific writing skills, it is essential to equip learners with the mindset and tools for autonomous, continuous learning. To this end, Tokyo Tech Writing Center (TTWCR) has invited an expert to give a workshop on the utility of corpus tools (i.e., database of real-life language use) for academic writing education. The workshop will cover the use of various tools (e.g., Google, COCA, and AntConc) for assisting writers at different levels. It is primarily intended for graduate students, teachers, and staff, but we welcome all who are interested in the topic. We look forward to seeing you at the event.
