Application of Certificates and Transcripts

For students who cannot come to the institute or enter Japan because of the novel coronavirus, we are accepting application of certificates and transcripts as follows.
If you need certificates urgently, please use automated certificate issuance machine. For details of the machine, click here .

【How to apply】
Send followings by postal mail:
1) Request for issuance of certification (for current student) XLS
2) A copy of your student ID card (surface)
3) A return envelope (size of Nagagata 3-gou, self-addressed, with stamps pasted)

For only the students who cannot enter Japan because of the novel coronavirus, submit 1) and 2) by email. When emailing, be sure to write the reason of application (e.g. For application of visa).

Note that the sending address depends on the school you belong to.

【Type of certificates available】
1) Certificates of enrollment (in Japanese or English)
2) Academic transcript (in Japanese or English)
3) Certification of expected graduation / completion (in Japanese or English, only for students in their final year of study)
4) Certificate of graduation / completion (in Japanese or English)
* Current students who are Tokyo Tech alumni can apply for 2) and 4) of the former program.
* Commuting route certification, student discount card for JR and health checkup certificate cannot be applied.

【Time taken to issue certificates】
Normally 7 days from the day of application (except weekends and holidays).
* Certificates cannot be issued on the same day of application. If you need certificates urgently, please use automated certificate issuance machine.

【Postal fee estimated in Japan】
Up to two certificates: 94 JPY regular postal stamp (for standard size envelope)
Up to four certificates: 120 JPY regular postal stamp (for standard size envelope)
* Non-standard size envelope: 120 JPY regular postal stamp
* Express stamp: 290 JPY in addition
