Volunteering

Taking part in volunteer activities can provide valuable experiences that cannot be obtained by studying at a university. In addition, it may help in finding one’s direction while meeting new friends. Tokyo Institute of Technology receives volunteer-recruiting information from various organizations, where students can use their talents while engaging in volunteer work. We encourage our students to devote their time to society.

Students are requested to carry out activities based on Tokyo Tech Response to COVID-19 "Extracurricular
activities" against the new coronavirus infection.

Tokyo Tech VG (Student Volunteer Group)

Tokyo Tech VG (Student Volunteer Group) was established by the minded students who worked as reconstruction volunteers in the disaster-hit areas after the Great East Japan Earthquake in March 11, 2011. The members of this group joined “Tokyo Institute of Technology Photo Washing Project” in September of the same year for the people whose photos were damaged by the earthquake and Tsunami. Their activities began gaining momentum on campus and now they plan and run many projects. This group is currently focusing on the latest project "Children's Cafeteria", which just began in August 2018. Tokyo Tech VG is seeking students who want to try something new as well as giving back to the community and contributing to society.
