Tuition waiver during extension of enrollment period (for graduate students completing master’s or doctoral programs in December2020)

On May 8, 2020, Tokyo Tech has announced the economic support measures for COVID-19, “Urgent Financial Support for Tokyo Tech Students”.

We have decided to continue the “Tuition exemption during extension of enrollment period” for graduate students who were planning to complete master's or doctoral programs in December 2020.

Tuition waiver for graduate school students scheduled to complete in December 2020

[Target] Those who meet all of the following three conditions.
・Graduate student who were scheduled to complete December, 2020.
・Students who have extended the enrollment period due to the delay of the research and the extension of the review period, which was caused by the COVID-19.
・Students who extend their enrollment period beyond the standard period.

[Tuition waiver period]
Tuition fees for January, February and March 2021.

[How to apply]
The application form should be filled by the applicant and the academic advisor, and should be submitted to the Student Support Division by the academic advisor.

November 13, 2020 (Fri)

[Notice]
・Application for this tuition waiver is available only once during your extension period.
・If you apply for this tuition waiver and tuition exemption at the same time and get a full exemption in the tuition exemption, the tuition exemption result will take precedence. (However, even in this case, you will not be able to apply for tuition waiver again.)
・If you apply for this tuition waiver, your tuition for the Fall semester will not be decide until this result is announced. Therefore, please don't pay the tuition for the Fall semester until the result is announced.
