The Tokyo Tech Summer Program, a new exchange program for international students, will be launched next year under the Top Global University Project funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

Held from early June to mid-August in 2016, the Tokyo Tech Summer Program will offer a six- to ten-week Research-oriented Program for undergraduate and graduate students to pursue individual research projects and a four-week intensive Course-oriented Program, including project-based learning, for undergraduates. Participants in the program, which is open to students from 28 partner universities in the US, Europe and Asia, will have opportunities to join organized site visits to cutting-edge research institutes and companies.

A number of social activities with Tokyo Tech students and events aimed at deepening international students' understanding of Japanese technology and culture will also be offered. Applications for the inaugural Tokyo Tech Summer Program are now being accepted.

The Tokyo Tech community looks forward to welcoming international students from various backgrounds for the summer of 2016.
