Overseas Offices

Tokyo Tech has been actively engaged in academic cooperation activities with overseas universities resulting with more than 90 university-wide and 100 departmental agreements.
Tokyo Tech also has four overseas offices to promote academic exchanges and international cooperation with institutions overseas. These offices are located respectively in Thailand-Bangkok, Philippines-Manila, China-Beijing, and Egypt-Alexandria.

Tokyo Tech Thailand Officeouter


Tokyo Tech Thailand Office was established in September, 2002 within the Thailand Science Park, about 30 miles to the north of Bangkok.
Academic exchanges between Tokyo Tech and Thailand have a history that goes back several decades.
To this day, we have been working closely and continuously exchanging our personnel and knowledge through distance lectures using satellite and internet communication applications.
Other responsibilities of the Office include assisting the operation of the joint graduate school, "Thailand Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (TAIST)", which opened in 2007; providing information and support for students wishing to study at Tokyo Tech as well as for the returnees; and taking part in various events held in Thailand.

Tokyo Tech Philippines Officeouter


Tokyo Tech Philippines Office was established in September, 2005 in the campus of De La Salle University, Manila.
Tokyo Tech has a long history of academic exchanges with a number of Philippine universities and many joint projects have been carried out during this time.
Activities of the Office include: organizing student exchange opportunities that combine a crafting experience with local company visits and language seminars; arranging educational/research exchange activities such as holding workshops and interactive lectures using internet communication applications; cultivating academic networks including former exchange students; and organizing PR activities for Tokyo Tech.

Tokyo Tech China Officeouter


Tokyo Tech China Office provides support for various programs between Tokyo Tech and its affiliated universities in China such as: student exchange programs, research exchanges and inter-university exchanges.
One of the operating offices is located in the Tsinghua University collaboration office, which was established in 2006 on the Tsinghua University campus, with a staff member working full-time.
Information on student exchange programs is also available for those who are interested.

Tokyo Tech Egypt E-JUST Officeouter


The Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) was established by the Egyptian government with the collaboration of Japan. As a primary contributing university, Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) actively supported the project to establish E-JUST.
The Tokyo Tech Egypt E-JUST Office was established in April 2014. The office seeks to support the faculty and students dispatched from Tokyo Tech to E-JUST and activate academic and student exchanges between Egypt and Tokyo Tech. The office also seeks to be a base for Tokyo Tech's public relation activities in Egypt and the surrounding Arab-Africa region.
