A leading contributor to the Egyptian and Japanese governments' joint project for the development of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), Tokyo Tech opened its Egypt Office in 2014. Tokyo Tech Egypt E-JUST Office supports faculty members dispatched by Tokyo Tech to E-JUST and E-JUST doctoral students accepted as exchange students at Tokyo Tech. The office also activates academic and student exchanges between Egypt and Tokyo Tech and serves as a base for Tokyo Tech's public relation activities in Egypt and the surrounding Arab-Africa region.

February 2014 |
Phase Two of the JICA project began. Tokyo Tech became a "primary contributing university" to E-JUST. |
April 2014 |
Tokyo Tech Egypt E-JUST Office was established. |
November 2017 |
Tokyo Tech began cooperation on "practical and experiment-based education in the field of basic science" for E-JUST's Faculty of Engineering. |
February 2019 |
Phase Three of the JICA project started. |
