Science Tokyo students will have the chance to do research in laboratories at the cutting edge of technology and within an institution that is ranking among the top-3 Canadian Universities in terms of research intensity in the field of engineering.

Eligibility
3rd-year+ undergraduates, master’s student nominated by Science Tokyo (up to 3 students);
GPA 2.75/4;
sufficient English or French ability

Dates
The program period is as follows; however, it is possible to shorten the end date. That said, students who participate for four months have a higher likelihood of being accepted. The start date cannot be changed, and no schedule changes are allowed after participation has been confirmed.
Please arrive at the location on the weekend immediately before the start date.

No participation fees
Scholarships
Possible CAD1,500/month from host university.
1. Science Tokyo Fund Scholarship: 110,000JPY/month
2. Individuals who hold Japanese nationality or permanent residency and meet the academic requirements: in addition to 1, they are eligible for a JASSO scholarship of ¥110,000 per month. However, those who receive a scholarship from the host university are not eligible.

Interviews for university nomination will be conducted as follows:

Application documents include English transcript, enrollment certification, letter of motivation, passport copy, CV, internship report if any. Please get prepared well ahead of time.
