Seasonal Program (University of Trento) Summer

Last Updated 2026/01/26

Outlines

The two‑week interdisciplinary summer school NEMESI II – Futuristic Spaces and ArchiLectures: Depero Scenarios for Trento explores the relationship between Trento’s Futurist avant‑garde heritage and its public architecture by developing “ArchiLectures,” creative design interpretations proposed by an international group of students. Building on Fortunato Depero’s cultural legacy and his 1920s concept of “Futurist Plastic Pavilions,” the program draws on archives and collaborations with local institutions such as the Casa d’Arte Futurista Depero and the Mart Museum to transform artistic and architectural materials into “urban events” that reconnect the city with its cultural roots. Participants research and reinterpret Depero’s multidisciplinary work—spanning painting, graphics, theatre, and experimental design—using drawings, photography, typography, video collage, virtual reconstructions, AI‑enhanced 3D environments, and digital fabrication. The summer school culminates in a collaborative exhibition supported by FabLab UniTrento and Level Up Trento, offering hands‑on experience in visual storytelling, design processes, and prototyping.
