Overview

Through AY 2019, Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) organized the Tokyo Tech Winter Program as a short-term inbound exchange program for undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at overseas universities to pursue individual research projects under Tokyo Tech faculty supervision.

In light of the COVID-19 epidemic, Tokyo Tech relaunched the Winter Program in AY 2020 as Bringing Ideas in Remote Discussion (BIRD), a virtual exchange program for students from Tokyo Tech and the University of Melbourne. BIRD will be conducted for a third year in AY 2022.

Regarding AY 2023, we decided to hold the Winter Program online as a virtual exchange program with not only University of Melbourne but also other selected partner universities this time.
