Polytechnique Montréal at Université de Montréal is one of Canada's leading applied research engineering schools. Highly ranked for the number of Canada Research Chairs in Engineering and the scope of its research activities, Polytechnique obtains the highest research funding among engineering schools in the country.
Every year, Polytechnique's research units welcome over 250 students from other universities wishing to put into practice the technical and scientific knowledge acquired in their studies. The research conducted, respectful of the health and safety measures issued by the Public Health Agency, and supervised by a Polytechnique professor, emanates from a real societal or industrial need, and is made in the lab or in situ.
Eligibility
Applicants who meet all of the following criteria are eligible to apply. Students who receive MEXT scholarship are not eligible to apply.
1) Completed at least two years of an engineering undergraduate program or at least one year of a graduate program (Master or Ph.D.) according to projects' requirements
2) Minimum GPA of 2.75 out of 4 (or equivalent)
3) Be fluent in English or in French
4) Meet the required skills for the project, if any

Dates
Four months with 6 possible starting dates between April and July.
Once the admission to the program has been confirmed, no change in the duration or the dates can be made.

Cost
Tuition fees waiver for the duration of the internship.
Free transportation from the airport to your place of residence upon your arrival.
Scholarships
Outstanding candidates may receive one of the 15 scholarships available.
Maximum amount of the scholarship: 6,000 CAD for 4 months (prorated at 1,500 CAD/month).

Please complete your application to Tokyo Tech and to the Polytechnique Montréal by the respective deadlines as follows:
1) Application to Tokyo Tech
Please fill and upload the Application form, transcript, and the score of language test into this box for uploading.
2) Appliction to Polytechnique Montréal
After submitting your application to the Study Abroad Information Center, you must apply through the Polytechnique Montréal website.
You will need to upload your letter of motivation, CV, most recent academic transcript, proof of enrollment, etc., so be sure to prepare the necessary documents as soon as possible.
